"קרב יום" עם מרדכי שנוולד
הזמנו אלינו לאולפן את מרדכי שנוולד, כנר ומוסיקאי מוכשר, ולוחם צה"ל אמיץ שנפצע לפני כמה חודשים בעזה ומאז עבר תהליך משמעותי של שיקום והרבה יצירה.
החלטנו לבצע יחד את "קרב יום" לכבוד חג הפסח שמתקרב אלינו...המילים שמופיעות בסוף הגדת פסח מקבלות כל כך הרבה משמעות השנה:
"קרב יום אשר הוא לא יום ולא לילה...שומרים הפקד לעירך כל היום וכל הלילה,
תאיר כאור יום חשכת לילה."
"Karev Yom" with Mordechai Shenwald
We recently invited Mordechai Shenwald to our studio and recorded this song together. Mordechai is a talented violinist and also a brave soldier who was wounded a few months ago in Gaza, and has since been on a long journey of recovery. We decided to record this song together in honor of Pesach- the words of the song appear towards the end of the Seder, and have such a deep meaning this year:
"Bring near the day is that is neither day nor night.
Most High, make known that Yours is the day as well as the night.
Appoint watchmen [to guard] Your city all day and all night.
Illuminate like day the dark of night."
